624 Mattress
The 624 is a mattress in a box with a difference – it’s reversible. This means you can adjust the firmness to suit you. Natural latex on one side gives you a medium firm feel – a 6/10 on the firmness scale. Flip it over and you’ll get a memory foam medium soft mattress – a 4/10 on the softness scale. This means this cool-sleeping, hypoallergenic mattress suits most sleepers, those who like the firmness of latex and those who like the soft sinking feeling of memory foam.

How does the 624 mattress feel to sleep on?
The 624 uses multiple layers of natural latex, high-density memory foam and high-compact-resistant foam, including a changeable top layer, to create a mattress with 2 different levels of firmness. The 6 side is medium firm, with a latex top layer. The 4 side is medium soft, with a memory foam top layer.
The medium firm 6 side, featuring 30mm of natural latex, offers support, cushioning for pressure points and a little bounce to keep all types of sleepers comfortable overnight. Latex is a good choice for back sleepers who need spinal support. Stomach sleepers will appreciate latex’s supportive nature as they won’t sink into it. Because latex hugs the body and relieves pressure points, it’s also good for side sleepers.
By flipping the mattress over, sleepers can enjoy the medium soft 4 side, with 40mm of high-density memory foam. Memory foam conforms to your body shape, giving it a softer, less supportive feel perfect for side sleepers to sink into. 624’s memory foam, with its lack of gels, allows air to flow, meaning a cooler night’s sleep.
Because of its protective mesh weave covers, the 624 mattress is hypoallergenic, antibacterial and antimicrobial, making it a good choice for sleepers with allergies.
Foam mattresses aren’t usually great when it comes to edge support. Sit on the edge of the 624 and you’ll feel like you’re about to fall off. But because the highly compact base layer is supportive, you won’t. If you have problems getting in and out of bed, the 624 may not be right for you.
The support layer of the 624 includes 190mm of high-compact-resistant Kantec® foam. With its irregular cell construction, 624’s website claims it eliminates ‘100% of partner disturbance’. This construction also allows air and moisture to pass through it easily for a hygienic and cool night’s sleep. If you share your bed with a partner who moves a lot overnight, you could see if the 624 reduces the motion transfer. With a 100-night trial, you’ll have time to test this for yourself.
What is the 624 mattress made from?
To allow sleepers to choose the right firmness for them, the 624 consists of multiple layers of natural latex, memory foam and foam.
The reversible comfort layer comes from the factory with the latex on top and memory foam on the bottom, giving you the firmer 6 feel. A protective mesh weave inner cover provides additional antimicrobial properties.
The firmer feel is achieved with 30mm natural latex on top. Natural latex is responsive to your movements and supports your pressure points for a comfortable night’s sleep. 624 has added activated charcoal to act as a natural filter to absorb odours and impurities from the body and air.
This natural latex layer is followed by 40mm high density memory foam. As memory foam moulds to your body, it provides a soft sinking feel.
Finally, it’s the support layer, again protected by an antimicrobial mesh weave cover. The 190mm high-compact-resistant Kantec® foam has an irregular cell construction which aims to minimise partner disturbance.
If you prefer a softer 4 feel, simply unzip the cover and flip the top layer of the mattress over so foam is on the top and natural latex on the bottom. Then zip up the cover again.
The mattress sits on a firm support layer with high ventilation fabric. To help stop the mattress moving around on your bed frame, it has gripping points. The 624 is designed to be placed on any flat and firm surface, including the floor.
The layers are contained in multiple covers. The outer cover has a Kantec® fabric sleeping surface which has been specifically developed for the 624. It’s soft touch and fast-drying and wicks moisture away from the body for a cool and comfortable sleep. This cover is also removable and machine washable. The 624 opts for the standard mattress colours of white and grey, with a patterned top cover for a plush effect.
The comfort and support layers are both wrapped in protective, antimicrobial mesh weave covers to help increase airflow and keep you cool.
624 weight and thickness
Whether you’re dealing with multiple flights of stairs or narrow doorways, the 624 mattress will be easy to handle. The king size is delivered in a 50cm x 50cm x 100cm box, making it easy to get into any room. The queen size weighs 32kg making it achievable for the average person to move around.
The queen size is 26 centimetres thick, making it an average thickness compared to other foam mattresses. Because it’s suitable for any type of flat and firm surface, you could use it on a raised bed frame if you’re worried about it being too low.
How much the 624 mattress cost?
Compared to traditional sprung mattresses, the 624 mattress is good value for money. However, because of its unique construction that includes both natural latex and memory foam, it is slightly more expensive than similar mattresses especially in the single size. The finer details
With the 624 mattress you are essentially getting two mattresses in one – a medium firm and a medium soft one – which explains the slightly higher price point.
624 offers free same weekday delivery in certain areas (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth). Outside of these areas, it takes 1-4 working days and free delivery is restricted to mainland Australia and Tasmania. Delivery comes with live tracking, so you know when to expect your mattress.
There’s also a 100-night trial to allow you plenty of time to test your mattress. If you’re not satisfied, 624 will pick up your mattress for free and donate it to charity. The mattress also comes with a standard 10-year warranty.

Who is the 624 mattress best for?
Without independently verified reviews, it’s difficult to say who will best benefit from the 624 mattress. But its two firmness options cater for a wide range of sleepers. Back, side and stomach sleepers will appreciate the medium firm latex with its supportive nature and cushioning for pressure points. Side sleepers will enjoy the medium soft memory foam for sinking into. If you struggle to find a mattress that suits your sleeping style, the 624 mattress could be a good option to try. Especially as you have 100 days to test it and return it for free, if it doesn’t suit.
