The truth is that personal sleeping habits develop over time naturally, and a variety of factors influence our slumber.
As if that’s not enough —
The position you sleep in reveals a lot about your personality! These are just a few of the things you can learn about yourself from the way you sleep:
Of course, there are many variations of these three basic sleeping positions, but everyone falls somewhere within these groups.
Now you may think —
Maybe there’s something different about the sleeping habits of the rich and famous that propel them forward.
Natural Sleep Cycles
Even though it’s widely believed that adults need seven to nine hours of sleep for optimal performance, the number of actual sleep hours vary greatly from person to person.
Think about it —
Some people prefer to wake up late and stay up until dawn, others wake up at the crack of dawn and go to sleep right after dinner. Still, others may stay up for days on end, because they can’t seem to sleep.
Nevertheless, quality rest is vital. But how do you know if you’re getting the sleep you need?
Routines and personal sleeping habits
First of all —
Lots of things can cause a disturbance to your sleep patterns. Snoring, sleep apnea, and stress, to name a few.
It’s no wonder that if you don’t feel rested when you wake, or similarly, if you feel tired throughout the day, you’re probably not getting adequate sleep.
Your mood and energy level act as barometers that measure how much sleep you need.
Here’s the thing —
Even though celebrities are a cut above, they have many of the same sleep habits, issues, and rituals as the rest of us.
Fair enough?

4. Margot Robbie
The lovely Ms. Robbie isn’t exactly a delicate flower. So it comes as no surprise that her ideal bedtime routine is drinking a cold beer in a hot (not warm) bath or shower. Also, she loves to read a book at bedtime to shut off her mind. No doubt about it, a beer, a bath, and reading a good book to unwind, all sound like they’d work to enhance a night’s sleep.

5. Justin Bieber
Sadly, the Bieb is depressed lately, and it affects how he sleeps. Sources have it that he’s started using a hyperbaric oxygen chamber when he sleeps to help him get back to his old self. He says he’s been feeling weird and disconnected lately. We’re here sending positive vibes.

6. Ellen DeGeneres
That cheery demeanor we always see from Ellen Degeneres may just be because she has some of the best by-the-book sleeping habits around. She gets her recommended eight hours of sleep. Not to mention, Ellen Degeneres is also one of those people who sleeps on their side, like a log, which explains her trusting outgoing personality. The log sleeping position may also make her a little gullible.

7. Tom Cruise
Some people snore. Others snore so loud they shake the shingles off the roof. Apparently, Tom Cruise built a soundproof room to deaden the blast of his thunderous snoring. After all, environment is everything when it comes to sleep. Whether you snore or not, a quiet room will only aid in a restful night.

8. Rihanna
It seems many celebrities have a hard time shutting off at the end of the day. Rihanna is no different in that respect. But she says she only sleeps three to four hours a night and usually does a Netflix binge even if she gets home as early as 1 a.m. It’s amazing she holds it together with that kind of sleep schedule!

9. Shaquille O’ Neal
Sleep apnea is a problem for three to seven percent of men. Guess what? It doesn’t make any difference if you’re rich and famous. Shaq has obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Simply stated, this means his throat and tongue block his lungs from getting air. OSA is dangerous because it causes a lot more than sleepiness during the day from lack of rest; it increases your risk of high blood pressure, heart attack, strokes, and more. It’s no wonder Shaq now sleeps with a CPAP machine that feeds him oxygen during the night.

10. Lady Gaga
Our lady of perpetual wakefulness says she can’t turn her brain off. She starts her day at 6 a.m. with mindfulness meditation and a meal. Then, around noon, she takes a three-hour nap. If that long nap seems excessive, just know that there’s really no other scheduled sleep. You see, you’re likely to find Lady Gaga traveling to her next venue and reading letters from her fans at 1 a.m. Who could sleep with that long to-do list?
Get Better Sleep
As it turns out —
We should avoid using things such as caffeine and alcohol when it’s getting late, stick to a bedtime routine, and, among other things, always turn off the electronics to help us on our way to a restful repose. Also, make sure to see a doctor if you think you’re losing sleep because of your snoring because it could be a medical issue.
But that’s just part of the story — As you can see, celebrities are people too.
And they don’t always follow these simple rules to aid in achieving the best sleep possible. Their busy lifestyles seem to work; however, we only get a partial picture of how celebrity sleeping habits affect their physical and emotional well-being.
For the rest of us, maybe we should think about the steps we need to take to bring onthe Zzzzs. Because ultimately, we can’t be our best without our beauty rest.
